Meet Luma Al Adnani!

Role:

Luma is the CEO, mom to Adam and Mila, and wife to Ibrahim.

Luma takes care of our day to day operations, puts everyone on a deadline, and basically keeps the Adam Wa Mishmish machine well piles and functional. She, along with Lina writes the song lyrics, and suggests some melodies to Ibrahim on the odd occasion.

Something you didn’t know about Luma.

She’s a journalism major and used to be a morning show radio host, which is where she met her husband Ibrahim, who did the drive back show.

Favorite podcasts, books or vlogs:

I’m a huge Harry Potter fan since childhood. I even got my son Adam hooked on it, and took him to see the Warner brothers studio tour in the UK. For my honeymoon I went to Florida just so I can go to Universal studios Harry Potter World.

I really enjoy a vlog called Slidebean which is run by a startup. It helps you strongly grasp some essential Startup principals.

What do you like about working at your company?

I love that we create something completely new, and when we see feedback from parents and kids. Watching a child dance to our songs and actually learning something just makes all the hard work worthwhile.

What are the values that drive you?

Teamwork, honesty, bringing the best out of your team and trusting them to do the work only they know how to do best. Perseverance and a strong belief that no matter how many times we fall, we can always get back up and learn from our mistakes.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I love reading, playing piano, watching tv shows, and most importantly sing dance and play with my kids. I love coming up with different activities with them.
